Mass Junior Conservation Camp

For Jr Members ages 13 - 16

The MBBA is now accepting letters requesting to be sponsored for the 2018 season of Ma Jr Conservation Camp.

Every year the MBBA sponsors (up to) four Jr Members a year to attend Ma Junior Conservation Camp on a full scholarship.

If you are an MBBA Junior Member (or the parent of one) and are interested in the out doors, including hunting, fishing, boating, survival, hiking and more, then this camp may be for you!

This is a great 12 day (Sleep Away) camp in Russel, MA

Many of our adult and JR members have attended, including current officers and a past president.  The MBBA also has a Past President on staff and a current Director who was a long time instructor.

More Information About Mass Jr Conservation Camp

Conservation Subjects Taught Include Fish & Pond Life, Forestry, Soil Conservation, And Wildlife Management. Outdoor Skills Taught Include Archery, Basic Camping, Fly & Spin Casting, Orienteering, Riflery, And Shotgun. These Courses Are Lead By Experts In Their Field. Additional MJCC Curriculum Involves The Massachusetts Hunter Education Program And Small Boat Safety.

Campers Participate In All Courses Presented, However Ample Opportunity Is Provided For Relaxation And Recreation Through Many Traditional Summer Camp Activities Such As Swimming, Fishing, Boating, Softball And Volleyball. In Addition, Opportunities Exist For Extra Time On The Shotgun, Rifle And Archery Ranges. Optional Programs In The Past Have Included Whitewater Rafting And Field To Table, A Course Focused On Teaching Students Safe Ways To Clean And Serve Fish Or Game. The Program Brings Campers In Contact With Experts On Many Aspects Of Natural Resource Management And Outdoor Recreation.
